The Hayfield Hawks triumphed over the host Mount Vernon Majors softball squad by a count of 20-6 in Thursday's league challenge.
Next, the Hawks meet the Justice Wolves (Falls Church, VA) in a National challenge, on Tuesday, April 22. Hayfield will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Wolves enter the challenge with a 0-8 record after their 20-7 league loss to Falls Church (Falls Church, VA).
The Majors (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Annandale (Annandale, VA). The Atoms enter the National challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Annandale was routed by Edison (Alexandria, VA), 18-5, in a league challenge.
