The Hayward Hurricanes softball team scored 16 runs and held the host Ladysmith Lumberjacks to 3 in the Hurricanes league win on Thursday.

The Hurricanes now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Grantsburg for a non-league battle on Saturday, April 12. Hayward will confront a Pirates team coming off a 13-2 league win over Shell Lake (Shell Lake, WI). The Pirates record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Ladysmith moves to 0-3 on the season. The Lumberjacks travel to Chequamegon (Park Falls, WI) to confront the Screaming Eagles in a non-league battle on Friday, April 11. The Screaming Eagles come into the battle with a record of 0-1. Chequamegon lost 12-2 in their recent non-league battle against Marathon (Marathon, WI)
