The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Hill-Murray Pioneers (Maplewood, MN) and the visiting Simley Spartans (Inver Grove Heights, MN), observed Hill-Murray's softball team get by Simley by a tally of 1-0.

The Pioneers (3-0) will now prepare for their bout against Benilde-St. Margaret's (St. Louis Park, MN). The Red Knights go into the non-league bout with a 1-2 record. In their last bout, Benilde-St. Margaret's was nipped by Park (Cottage Grove, MN), 12-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Spartans clash with the Highland Park Scots (St. Paul, MN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, April 11. Simley will attempt to advance on its 2-2 season record. The Scots go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 8-7 league loss to St. Paul Central (St. Paul, MN).
