California High School Softball - Orestimba held off by Hughson

April 10, 2025: Newman, CA 95360

In Thursday's league test, the Hughson Huskies (Hughson, CA) softball squad got by the host Orestimba Warriors (Newman, CA), by a count of 8-7.

Next, the Huskies meet the Hilmar Yellowjackets (Hilmar, CA) in a Trans Valley League test, on Tuesday, April 15. Hughson will attempt to upgrade on its 12-6 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the test with a 8-8 record after their 5-4 league win over Sonora (Sonora, CA).

The Warriors (6-9) will now prepare for their test against Turlock (Turlock, CA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 8-12 record. In their last test, Turlock held off Downey (Modesto, CA), 14-2, in a league test.
