The Melbourne Bearkatz (Melbourne, AR) softball routed the visiting Yellville-Summit Panthers (Yellville, AR), 16-1 in Thursday's league outing.
The Bearkatz now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Midland for a non-league outing on Friday, April 11. Melbourne will encounter a Mustangs team coming off a 18-0 non-league loss to Concord (Concord, AR). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-9.
With the loss, Yellville-Summit moves to 7-7 on the season. The Panthers host Valley Springs (Valley Springs, AR) to encounter the Tigers in a 3A Region 2 outing on Monday, April 14. The Tigers come into the outing with a record of 0-17. Valley Springs lost 11-0 in their recent league outing against Cave City (Cave City, AR)
