The Providence Catholic Celtics softball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Mother McAuley Mighty Macs to 0 in the Celtics league win on Thursday.

The Celtics now possess a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Joliet West for a non-league battle on Friday, April 11. Providence Catholic will confront a Tigers team coming off a 9-3 non-league loss to Lincoln-Way East (Frankfort, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 0-8.

With the loss, Mother McAuley moves to 3-7 on the season. The Mighty macs host Resurrection (Chicago, IL) to confront the Bandits in a GCAC- Red battle on Monday, April 14. The Bandits come into the battle with a record of 5-4. Resurrection lost 12-2 in their recent league battle against Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL)
