New Site Royals (New Site, MS) supporters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Walnut Wildcats (Walnut, MS), 10-8 in a league game.

With the triumph, New Site improves its record to 5-15 on the year. The Royals travel to Biggersville (Corinth, MS) to play the Lions in a non-league game on Monday, April 14. The Lions enter the game with a record of 8-11. Biggersville lost 9-3 in their recent non-league game against Belmont (Belmont, MS)

The Wildcats now hold a 8-12 record. They play next when they host Thrasher for a non-league game on Friday, April 11. Walnut will play a Rebels squad coming off a 16-1 league loss to Wheeler (Wheeler, MS). The Rebels record now stands at 7-12.
