In Thursday's league test, the Portsmouth West Senators (West Portsmouth, OH) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Valley Indians (Lucasville, OH), by a tally of 9-4.

Next, the Senators clash with the Pike County Central Hawks (Pikeville, KY) in a non-league test, on Saturday, April 12. Portsmouth West will attempt to advance on its 4-4 season record. The Hawks go into the test with a 7-6 record after their 4-2 non-league loss to Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY).

The Indians (3-7) will now prepare for their test against South Webster (South Webster, OH). The Jeeps go into the test with a 6-4 record. In their last test, South Webster held off River Valley (Bidwell, OH), 16-2, in a non-league test.
