The Calhoun Yellow Jackets (Calhoun, GA) baseball trounced the host Ridgeland Panthers (Rossville, GA), 7-1 in Friday's league challenge.
The Yellow Jackets now own a 22-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Heritage for a AAA Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, April 14. Calhoun will clash with a Generals team coming off a 15-9 league win over Northwest Whitfield (Tunnel Hill, GA). The Generals record now stands at 19-8.
With the defeat, Ridgeland drops to 7-17 on the year. The Panthers travel to Gilmer (Ellijay, GA) to clash with the Bobcats in a AAA Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, April 14. The Bobcats go into the challenge with a record of 12-15. Gilmer won 7-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Towns County (Hiawassee, GA)
