Central Dragons (Martinsburg, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Bald Eagle Area Bald Eagles (Wingate, PA), 9-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Dragons now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Richland for a Laurel Highlands 1 challenge on Thursday, April 14. Central will battle a Rams squad coming off a 15-3 league loss to Central Cambria (Ebensburg, PA). The Rams record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Bald Eagle Area falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Bald eagles travel to Hollidaysburg (Hollidaysburg, PA) to battle the Golden Tigers in a Mountain - Northern challenge on Tuesday, April 12. The Golden Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Hollidaysburg lost 11-4 in their recent league challenge against Bellefonte (Bellefonte, PA)
