In Monday's non-league outing, the host Boquet Valley Griffins softball team scored a close 5-2 victory over the Johnsburg Central Jaguars.

The Griffins (2-0) will now prepare for their bout against Willsboro Central (Willsboro, NY). The Warriors go into the Section 7 Mountain Valley bout with a 1-0 record. In their last bout, Willsboro Central held off Lake Pleasant (Speculator, NY), 29-6, in a non-league bout.
