In Monday's non-league contest, the Buckingham Knights (Buckingham, VA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Fuqua Falcons (Farmville, VA), by a margin of 16-0.

With the triumph, Buckingham moves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Knights travel to Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA) to play the Statesmen in a James River contest on Tuesday, April 12. The Statesmen come into the contest with a record of 4-1.

In their next game, the Falcons play the Roanoke Catholic Celtics (Roanoke, VA) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, April 13. Fuqua will attempt to advance on its 1-5 season record. The Celtics go into the match with a 0-6 record after their 18-1 non-league loss to Covington (Covington, VA).
