Calvary Christian Academy Royal Knights (Chula Vista, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting King-Chavez Community Vaqueros (San Diego, CA), 7-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Royal Knights now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host San Diego Academy for a Citrus challenge on Thursday, April 14.

With the loss, King-Chavez Community falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Vaqueros host Chula Vista Learning Community Charter (San Diego, CA) to face the Cobras in a Patriot challenge on Friday, April 15. The Cobras enter the challenge with a record of 3-5. Chula Vista Learning Community Charter won 17-12 in their recent non-league challenge against El Cajon Valley (El Cajon, CA)
