The Canajoharie Cougars (Canajoharie, NY) softball routed the visiting Middleburgh Knights (Middleburgh, NY), 8-3 in Monday's league bout.
The Cougars (1-0) will now prepare for their bout against Fonda-Fultonville (Fonda, NY). The Braves go into the non-league bout with a 3-1 record. In their last bout, Fonda-Fultonville held off Scotia-Glenville (Scotia, NY), 4-3, in a non-league bout.
