The Fort Chiswell Pioneers softball team scored 16 runs and limited the host Chilhowie Warriors to 1 in the Pioneers non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Fort Chiswell improves its record to 6-1 on the year. The Pioneers travel to Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA) to clash with the Bears in a Mountain Empire game on Tuesday, April 12. The Bears come into the game with a record of 1-1.

In their next game, the Warriors clash with the Patrick Henry Rebels (Glade Spring, VA) in a Hogoheegee game, on Thursday, April 14. Chilhowie will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Rebels come into the game with a 0-1 record after their 6-5 non-league loss to Richlands (Richlands, VA).
