Southern Choctaw Indians (Gilbertown, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Clarke County Bulldogs (Grove Hill, AL), 11-9 in a non-league challenge.
The Indians now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Millry for a 1A Area 4 challenge on Tuesday, April 12. Southern Choctaw will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 10-3 non-league loss to Thomasville (Thomasville, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 18-10.
With the loss, Clarke County falls to 1-8 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Linden (Linden, AL) to battle the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 12. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 0-4. Linden lost 20-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Greensboro (Greensboro, AL)
