Nipmuc Regional Warriors (Upton, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hopedale Blue Raiders (Hopedale, MA), 5-3 in a league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Westborough for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 12. Nipmuc Regional will face a Rangers squad coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to Hudson (Hudson, MA). The Rangers record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Hopedale falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Blue raiders host Douglas (Douglas, MA) to face the Tigers in a Dual Valley challenge on Wednesday, April 13. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Douglas won 14-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Sutton/Douglas (Sutton, MA)
