Hughes Springs Mustangs (Hughes Springs, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting White Oak Roughnecks (White Oak, TX), 14-3 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 20-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ore City for a 3A Region II District 15 challenge on Friday, April 15.

With the loss, White Oak falls to 19-8 on the campaign. The Roughnecks host Ore City (Ore City, TX) to battle the Rebels in a 3A Region II District 15 challenge on Tuesday, April 19. The Rebels enter the challenge with a record of 9-13.
