Midway Green Wave (Kingston, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Knoxville Catholic Fighting Irish (Knoxville, TN), 9-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Green Wave now own a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Greenback for a 1A District 4 challenge on Thursday, April 14.

With the loss, Knoxville Catholic falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Fighting irish travel to South-Doyle (Knoxville, TN) to face the Cherokees in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 12. The Cherokees enter the challenge with a record of 5-4.
