The Putnam Clippers softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting New London Whalers to 11 in the Clippers non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Putnam moves its record to 2-2 on the year. The Clippers host Killingly (Killingly, CT) to clash with the Redmen in a non-league game on Wednesday, April 13. The Redmen come into the game with a record of 1-1. Killingly won 16-15 in their recent non-league game against Plainfield (Central Village, CT)

In their next game, the Whalers clash with the St. Bernard Saints (Uncasville, CT) in a non-league game, on Thursday, April 14. New London will attempt to move on its 0-4 season record. The Saints come into the game with a 3-0 record after their 20-0 league win over Tourtellotte (North Grosvenordale, CT).
