The Peru Nighthawks softball team scored 7 runs and limited the visiting Saranac Chiefs to 2 in the Nighthawks non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Peru moves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Nighthawks host Plattsburgh (Plattsburgh, NY) to clash with the Hornets in a non-league game on Monday, April 11. The Hornets come into the game with a record of 0-0.

In their next game, the Chiefs clash with the Northeastern Clinton Cougars (Champlain, NY) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, April 12. Saranac will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record.
