Spectators at Monday's league match between the Port Aransas Marlins (Port Aransas, TX) and the visiting Yorktown Wildcats (Yorktown, TX), witnessed Port Aransas's softball squad tip Yorktown by a count of 11-7.

The Marlins now sport a 9-19 record. They play next when they travel to Falls City for a 2A Region IV District 30 match on Thursday, April 14. Port Aransas will face a Beavers squad coming off a 10-9 league loss to Pettus (Pettus, TX). The Beavers record now stands at 10-1.

With the loss, Yorktown moves to 3-5 on the season. The Wildcats host Refugio (Refugio, TX) to face the Bobcats in a 2A Region IV District 30 match on Thursday, April 14. The Bobcats go into the match with a record of 16-5. Refugio won 5-4 in their recent league match against Kenedy (Kenedy, TX)
