Slinger Owls (Slinger, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Port Washington Pirates (Port Washington, WI), 9-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Owls now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Homestead for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 12. Slinger will battle a Highlanders squad coming off a 10-2 non-league win over Nicolet (Glendale, WI). The Highlanders record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Port Washington falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Cedarburg (Cedarburg, WI) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 12. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 1-1.
