In Tuesday's league game, the host Aztec Tigers baseball team scored a tight 9-8 victory over the Shiprock Chieftains.
The Tigers (11-7) will now prepare for their game against Miyamura (Gallup, NM). The Patriots go into the 4A District 1 game with a 6-10 record. In their last game, Miyamura tipped Kirtland Central (Kirtland, NM), 11-4, in a league game.
The Chieftains (5-8) will now prepare for their game against Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM). The Bobcats go into the 4A District 1 game with a 11-5 record. In their last game, Bloomfield was edged by Gallup (Gallup, NM), 5-3, in a league game.
