In Tuesday's non-league game, the host Jackson-Olin Mustangs baseball team scored a tight 8-7 victory over the Carver Birmingham Rams.
The Mustangs (9-14) will now prepare for their game against Brookwood (Brookwood, AL). The Panthers go into the 6A Area 8 game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Brookwood tipped Jackson-Olin (Birmingham, AL), 10-0, in a league game.
