North Carolina High School Baseball - South Lenoir loses to Southern Wayne

April 11, 2023: Deep Run, NC 28525

The South Lenoir Blue Devils baseball team (Deep Run, NC), was overwhelmed 11-7 in Tuesday's non-league outing with the visiting Southern Wayne Saints (Dudley, NC)

The Saints now hold a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Wake for a Quad County 3A outing on Tuesday, April 18. Southern Wayne will confront a Warriors team coming off a 13-5 league win over Smithfield-Selma (Smithfield, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 7-9.

Next, the Blue Devils confront the East Duplin Panthers (Beulaville, NC) in a East Central 2A outing, on Tuesday, April 18. South Lenoir will attempt to advance on its 8-6 season record. The Panthers go into the outing with a 11-6 record after their 10-9 non-league loss to Croatan (Newport, NC).
