Athens Golden Eagles (Athens, AL) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Hazel Green Trojans (Hazel Green, AL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Golden Eagles confront the Cullman Bearcats (Cullman, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, April 17. Athens will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record.

The Trojans now possess a 13-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hartselle for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 13. Hazel Green will confront a Tigers team coming off a 6-0 league loss to Cullman (Cullman, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 13-4.
