The crowd at Tuesday's league match between the Broadway Gobblers (Broadway, VA) and the visiting Spotswood Trailblazers (Penn Laird, VA), saw Broadway's softball squad nip Spotswood by a count of 2-1.

The Gobblers now sport a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Turner Ashby for a Valley match on Friday, April 14. Broadway will face a Knights squad coming off a 5-2 non-league win over Page County (Shenandoah, VA). The Knights record now stands at 9-0.

With the loss, Spotswood falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Trailblazers travel to Fort Defiance (Fort Defiance, VA) to face the Indians in a non-league match on Thursday, April 13. The Indians enter the match with a record of 4-4. Fort Defiance lost 9-7 in their recent league match against Riverheads (Staunton, VA)
