In Tuesday's league outing, the host J.I. Burton Black Raiders softball team scored a nice 11-1 win over the Castlewood Blue Devils.
Coming up next, the Black Raiders battle the Lee Generals (Jonesville, VA) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, April 12. J.I. Burton will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Generals enter the outing with a 2-3 record after their 8-1 league loss to Gate City (Gate City, VA).
The Blue Devils (0-1) will now prepare for their outing against Twin Springs (Nickelsville, VA). The Titans enter the Cumberland outing with a 2-3 record. In their last outing, Twin Springs was routed by Rye Cove (Clinchport, VA), 6-0, in a league outing.
