Johnson City Eagles (Johnson City, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Center Point Pirates (Center Point, TX), 6-4 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 20-5 record. They take the field next when they host FEAST HomeSchool for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 14. Johnson City will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 4-2 non-league win over Incarnate Word (San Antonio, TX). The Patriots record now stands at 16-7.

With the loss, Center Point falls to 13-12 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Junction (Junction, TX) to battle the Eagles in a 2A Region IV District 28 challenge on Friday, April 14. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 6-7. Junction won 12-3 in their recent league challenge against Medina (Medina, TX)
