The La Cueva Bears softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Cibola Cougars to 4 in the Bears non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, La Cueva improves its record to 16-3 on the year. The Bears host Sandia (Albuquerque, NM) to clash with the Matadors in a 5A District 2 game on Saturday, April 15. The Matadors come into the game with a record of 12-7. Sandia won 14-13 in their recent non-league game against Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM)

In their next game, the Cougars clash with the Volcano Vista Hawks (Albuquerque, NM) in a 5A District 1 game, on Friday, April 14. Cibola will attempt to improve on its 17-4 season record. The Hawks come into the game with a 13-9 record after their 14-13 non-league loss to Sandia (Albuquerque, NM).
