Sevier County Smoky Bears (Sevierville, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Cosby Eagles (Cosby, TN), 12-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Smoky Bears now own a 5-11 record. They take the field next when they host Morristown-Hamblen East for a 4A District 2 challenge on Thursday, April 13. Sevier County will face a Hurricanes squad coming off a 6-3 non-league win over Science Hill (Johnson City, TN). The Hurricanes record now stands at 7-11.

With the loss, Cosby falls to 5-5 on the campaign. The Eagles host Washburn (Washburn, TN) to face the Pirates in a 1A District 2 challenge on Thursday, April 13. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 0-2.
