Cotulla Cowboys (Cotulla, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lytle Pirates (Lytle, TX), 4-1 in a league challenge.

The Cowboys now own a 21-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Natalia for a 3A Region IV District 28 challenge on Friday, April 14. Cotulla will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 13-1 league win over Crystal City (Crystal City, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 12-8.

With the loss, Lytle falls to 16-11 on the campaign. The Pirates host Dilley (Dilley, TX) to face the Wolves in a 3A Region IV District 28 challenge on Friday, April 14. The Wolves enter the challenge with a record of 8-13. Dilley lost 4-2 in their recent league challenge against Hondo (Hondo, TX)
