Montwood Rams (El Paso, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Eastlake Falcons (El Paso, TX), 8-4 in a league challenge.

The Rams now own a 14-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pebble Hills for a 6A Region I District 1 challenge on Friday, April 14. Montwood will face a Spartans squad coming off a 11-0 league loss to Socorro (El Paso, TX). The Spartans record now stands at 10-12.

With the loss, Eastlake falls to 18-14 on the campaign. The Falcons host Franklin (El Paso, TX) to face the Cougars in a 6A Region I District 1 challenge on Friday, April 14. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 5-20. Franklin lost 18-3 in their recent league challenge against Montwood (El Paso, TX)
