Pennsylvania High School Softball - Freedom Area knocked off by Hopewell

In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Hopewell Vikings (Aliquippa, PA) softball team overwhelmed the host Freedom Area Bulldogs (Freedom, PA), by a margin of 13-0.

With the triumph, Hopewell moves its record to 5-1 on the year. The Vikings host Central Valley (Monaca, PA) to play the Warriors in a WPIAL 3A 2 contest on Wednesday, April 12. The Warriors come into the contest with a record of 3-4.

In their next game, the Bulldogs play the Shenango Wildcats (New Castle, PA) in a WPIAL 2A 4 contest, on Monday, April 17. Freedom Area will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record.
