The Grafton Bearcats softball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting Robert C. Byrd Eagles to 8 in the Bearcats league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Grafton improves its record to 9-5 on the year. The Bearcats travel to Lincoln (Shinnston, WV) to clash with the Cougars in a Big Ten game on Thursday, April 13. The Cougars come into the game with a record of 14-1. Lincoln won 6-3 in their recent league game against Liberty (Clarksburg, WV)

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV) in a Big Ten game, on Thursday, April 13. Robert C. Byrd will attempt to improve on its 7-8 season record. The Knights come into the game with a 2-9 record after their 8-0 league loss to North Marion (Farmington, WV).
