The South Laurel Cardinals softball team scored 9 runs and limited the host Harlan County Black Bears to 1 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, South Laurel moves its record to 4-1 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Corbin (Corbin, KY) to play the Redhounds in a District 50 game on Thursday, April 13. The Redhounds come into the game with a record of 7-2. Corbin won 17-4 in their recent non-league game against Wayne County (Monticello, KY)

In their next game, the Black Bears play the Bell County Bobcats (Pineville, KY) in a District 52 game, on Thursday, April 13. Harlan County will attempt to move on its 1-4 season record. The Bobcats come into the game with a 0-3 record after their 20-2 non-league loss to Whitley County (Williamsburg, KY).
