North Carolina High School Softball - Holmes bounces Perquimans

April 11, 2023: Edenton, NC 27932

Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC) and the visiting Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC), witnessed Holmes's softball squad tip Perquimans by a count of 13-6.

The Aces now sport a 10-6 record. They play next when they travel to First Flight for a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A match on Monday, April 17. Holmes will meet a Nighthawks squad coming off a 18-7 league loss to Camden County (Camden, NC). The Nighthawks record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Perquimans moves to 12-4 on the season. The Pirates host Riverside-Martin (Williamston, NC) to meet the Knights in a Four Rivers 1A match on Tuesday, April 18. The Knights go into the match with a record of 11-3. Riverside-Martin won 15-0 in their recent league match against Tarboro (Tarboro, NC)
