Plainfield Central Wildcats (Plainfield, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Joliet West Tigers (Joliet, IL), 17-16 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Plainfield East for a Suburban Prairie - South challenge on Thursday, April 13. Plainfield Central will face a Bengals squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Downers Grove North (Downers Grove, IL). The Bengals record now stands at 6-4.

With the loss, Joliet West falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Tigers host Romeoville (Romeoville, IL) to face the Spartans in a Suburban Prairie - South challenge on Thursday, April 13. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 2-5. Romeoville lost 5-0 in their recent league challenge against Plainfield South (Plainfield, IL)
