Magnolia Bulldogs (Magnolia, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Rudder Rangers (Bryan, TX), 7-0 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 17-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lake Creek for a 5A Region III District 21 challenge on Friday, April 14. Magnolia will battle a Lions squad coming off a 7-1 league win over Brenham (Brenham, TX). The Lions record now stands at 30-0.

With the loss, Rudder falls to 10-16 on the campaign. The Rangers host A&M Consolidated (College Station, TX) to battle the Tigers in a 5A Region III District 21 challenge on Friday, April 14. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 6-11. A&M Consolidated lost 5-4 in their recent league challenge against College Station (College Station, TX)
