Riverbend Bears (Fredericksburg, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Mountain View Wildcats (Stafford, VA), 8-7 in a league challenge.

The Bears now sport a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they host Courtland for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 12. Riverbend will face a Cougars squad coming off a 8-3 league win over Caroline (Milford, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 4-3.

With the loss, Mountain View falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Potomac Senior (Dumfries, VA) to face the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 13. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 6-2. Potomac Senior lost 13-0 in their recent league challenge against Charles J. Colgan (Manassas, VA)
