New Summerfield Hornets (New Summerfield, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Ore City Rebels (Ore City, TX), 21-16 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Carlisle for a 1A Region III District 19 challenge on Friday, April 14.
