Mississippi High School Softball - North Pike gets by Northwest Rankin

The North Pike Jaguars nipped the visiting Northwest Rankin Cougars softball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league battle.

The Jaguars (6-6) will now prepare for their battle against Brandon (Brandon, MS). The Bulldogs go into the non-league battle with a 14-5 record. In their last battle, Brandon held off Petal (Petal, MS), 9-2, in a league battle.

The Cougars now possess a 22-3 record. They play next when they host Pearl for a 6A Region 6 battle on Thursday, April 13. Northwest Rankin will meet a Pirates squad coming off a 10-2 non-league loss to Puckett (Puckett, MS). The Pirates record now stands at 4-17.
