Rye Cove Eagles (Clinchport, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Patrick Henry Rebels (Glade Spring, VA), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Eagles now own a 11-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Twin Springs for a Cumberland challenge on Thursday, April 13. Rye Cove will battle a Titans squad coming off a 13-3 league loss to Eastside (Coeburn, VA). The Titans record now stands at 2-2.
With the loss, Patrick Henry falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Rural Retreat (Rural Retreat, VA) to battle the Indians in a Hogoheegee challenge on Thursday, April 13. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 6-2.
