Shenandoah Zeps (Sarahsville, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Waterford Wildcats (Waterford, OH), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Zeps now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Caldwell for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 12. Shenandoah will battle a Redskins squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Linsly (Wheeling, WV). The Redskins record now stands at 5-2.

With the loss, Waterford falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Federal Hocking (Stewart, OH) to battle the Lancers in a Tri-Valley - Hocking challenge on Wednesday, April 12. The Lancers enter the challenge with a record of 1-4. Federal Hocking lost 22-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Fort Frye (Beverly, OH)
