St. Peter Saints (St. Peter, MN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Waseca Bluejays (Waseca, MN), 3-1 in a league challenge.

The Saints now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mankato East for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 12.

With the loss, Waseca falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Bluejays travel to New Ulm (New Ulm, MN) to face the Eagles in a South Central challenge on Tuesday, April 18. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. New Ulm lost 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Fairmont (Fairmont, MN)
