Tohatchi Cougars (Tohatchi, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Zuni Thunderbirds (Zuni, NM), 12-5 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 8-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Zuni for a 3A District 1 challenge on Tuesday, April 11. Tohatchi will battle a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 7-0 league win over Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 5-2.
