DeKalb Barbs (DeKalb, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Metea Valley Mustangs (Aurora, IL), 9-7 in a league test.

With the win, DeKalb upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The Barbs host Naperville North (Naperville, IL) to battle the Huskies in a DuPage Valley test on Monday, April 15. The Huskies come into the test with a record of 4-6. Naperville North lost 4-3 in their recent non-league test against Plainfield North (Plainfield, IL)

With the defeat, Metea Valley falls to 5-3 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Lockport (Lockport, IL) to battle the Porters in a non-league test on Friday, April 12. The Porters come into the test with a record of 8-3. Lockport won 4-1 in their recent league test against Stagg (Palos Hills, IL)
