In Thursday's league game, the host Middleton Cardinals baseball team scored a nice 15-0 victory over the Madison La Follette Lancers.
The Cardinals (5-0) will now prepare for their game against Vel Phillips Memorial (Madison, WI). The Spartans go into the Big Eight game with a 3-0 record. In their last game, Vel Phillips Memorial overcame Sun Prairie West (Sun Prairie, WI), 5-4, in a non-league game.
The Lancers (0-3) will now prepare for their game against Madison East (Madison, WI). The Purgolders go into the Big Eight game with a 1-4 record. In their last game, Madison East was overwhelmed by Verona (Verona, WI), 9-5, in a league game.
