In Thursday's league game, the host Melbourne Bearkatz baseball team scored a nice 18-3 victory over the Mountain View Yellowjackets.
The Bearkatz (16-2) will now prepare for their game against Cave City (Cave City, AR). The Cavemen go into the 3A Region 2 game with a 12-7 record. In their last game, Cave City was overwhelmed by Flippin (Flippin, AR), 7-3, in a non-league game.
The Yellowjackets (5-12) will now prepare for their game against Walnut Ridge (Walnut Ridge, AR). The Bobcats go into the 3A Region 2 game with a 17-3 record. In their last game, Walnut Ridge ran past Sloan-Hendrix (Imboden, AR), 10-0, in a non-league game.
